Forcast….

Oh how those words send a chill up my spine…. WIND DRIVEN SNOW SHOWERS. I am so not ready for winter, I need to move south of the equator!

Try to stay warm as we start to get the first touches of …..Winter….

Da ta da da!!

As you can see, I have my new blog up and running! I have a few more things to do to it to make it how i want it. See the space up above with the two pictures and my logo? Well, that will be rotating my favorites from recent sessions. Be sure to check back to see if yours are up there. :) I am really excited about this blog, I can post really BIG pictures! Hopefully sooner rather than later I will get my new site up, I am really behind on getting that up. There are just to many options that I can’t decide on and when I have to many decisions, I get confused…lol

I have to go and unplug everything again, more thunderstorms coming our way!

Have a great day!

Farewell My Friend…

I love trees and if I could, I would plant one in every square inch of my yard. Well, not every square inch, but you know what I mean. :) They are just so beautiful and green and add so much to any landscape.

When we first moved here 9 years ago, I had not one tree because the development that we live in was built on a farm field. Over the years, I keep have added them here and there and now we have 25 trees on our 1+ acre lot.

I now have to subtract one from that count now. :( This was one of the first trees that I planted after we moved in. I planted two sugar maples in the backyard and they have grown like weeds. I would say that they are about 30-40 feet tall??  Last year we lost a bigger limb on one in a storm and then again a week ago in a storm. When I was cutting the huge branch up, I noticed that there was at least 2 feet of new growth on the ends of it. I just had a feeling that by the end of the summer I was going to lose the whole thing because it is growing to fast to support the huge branches it has.

Well, when the storms came through last night, the very first gust of wind snapped the top off right off. My first tree casualty. I am so sad because I finally had a nice shady spot to sit and play in the sandbox or even swing with Katie. But the tree is broken now and has lost to many limbs making big fractures in the main trunk to be able to support what is left and it has to come down today.

Farewell my friend, you will be greatly missed….. :(

Snow..will it ever end?

This winter is hanging on into spring. Hopefully it won’t hold on into summer…. I just want to be warm and be able to have the windows open with a nice WARM breeze coming through them. I am getting warm just thinking about it. :) Now to just think away this cold that won’t go away….
