Finally….

I know, I know…I am a terrible blogger. My family had a when it rains it pours kind of summer. My mom and I both lost beloved dogs. It bad all the way around and has been really hard for me as my Ellie was the one barking from the back room when you came to the studio. It is very quiet around here now, I will be blogging about her again, when I can. BUT,  now that Fall is just around the corner and soon the Christmas season will be upon us, I am determined to get caught up on blogging shortly and have my new site up in the near future. I am going to just pull some of my favorites of the last few months and post them. I will be posting a few sessions right now and will spread the next ones out so there isn’t an image over load to those of you on RSS readers.

JDRF’s Walk to Cure Diabetes 2011

Mall of America – Bloomington, MN

7:00 a.m. MOA Doors Open (Drop off donations, pick up your t-shirts, grab breakfast and enjoy the pre-walk entertainment!)

8:00 a.m. Walk to Cure Diabetes! (Walk at your own pace for one hour – no set distance.  Join the thousands of walkers, all gathered to celebrate the hope for a cure.)

9:00 a.m. Celebration Ceremony (Gather in the Best Buy Rotunda for the excitement!)

If you raise $100 or more, you are eligible for JDRF’s annual t-shirt.  However this year, in addition to buttons, we are having team t-shirts made.  They will be $10 each and are optional. I will need an official count February 1st.  (The shirts will be gender neutral, either black or gray with darker purple and silver on them.)  SO excited for these.

Forest Lake MOMS Club Preschool Expo Drawing!

We drew a name a few weeks ago, but I could not read the writing and am not having any luck guessing the email address. We did redraw another name, but if your entered my drawing and your name is S. Jacobson or Johnson? I will also extend the prize to you! Call or email me please.

Time for Change!

I hate change just as much as the next person, but this change is going to be great and I can’t wait for you to see it! I am in the process of revamping my blog and website. Right now they are two separate sites and soon they will be together. My site right now is flash and I know a lot of people have problems viewing flash on their mobile devices. Also, if you don’t have an updated flash program, you won’t be able to view it correctly on your computer. So I made the decision to move away from that format and go back to a site that will be able to be viewed by all. Hopefully I can figure out how to import all of my old posts to the new blog. They are different formats and it may not work so wish me luck!

In the coming weeks, you may see a generic page saying the site is down or things are a bit wonky don’t worry, the image gallery will still be functioning as normal. Please bear with me in the upcoming weeks as I switch to the new site. I included a sneak peak of the new home page below!

 I think this day in history is one of those days that will forever be seared on our brains for the rest of our lives. We will always remember where we were and what we were doing when we heard the news. Please remember to keep the lives lost in the September 11th attack on the Twin Towers, the Pentagon and Flight 93 and their families in your thoughts and prayers today. 

Baby T.

After a long wait, Baby T. is finally here and I had the honor of making his first portraits. Welcome baby “T”, it was wondeful to finally meet you.

Sara & Matt : Baby and Family

This is the second time I have had Sara and baby Z. in the studio and Matt’s first. The first time was while Matt was deployed and THANKFULLY he returned home safe and sound. It just amazes me how much these families sacrifice for our freedom. When baby Z. was born, Matt got to come home on leave and then had to go back a week later. I can’t imagine how tough that would be to see your child born and then the next time you see them, they are already months old. So, the next time you see one of our service member, be sure to thank them!

Miss me?

I can’t believe it has been a month since my last post! I have been busy busy busy so of course I am way behind on blogging… again. I feel like I am continually trying to catch up here…lol I will try to get some of this and some of that up in the next couple days. I will also be showing off my senior reps!  If there are any juniors out there that want to apply to be a rep for me, I am still accepting at a few schools. Drop me an email or text me if you are interested!
